My Cat Zoe Is Pregnant - Again

Jana's cat Zoe is pregnant -- again. The first time everything went wrong.

My cat got pregnant when she was 6 months old. I came home to find she gave birth on the 4th of July.

She got out of the house I am thinking in her first heat. Five of the babies were tied together by the umbilical cord and afterbirth in the middle. One baby was dry and nursing and not attached to the rest.

I ended up cutting the babies loose, but their feet were swollen and black and blue and they had small cuts in their thin skin from scratching each other trying to break lose.

All died within one week, one each day. The mom cat Zoe did not take care of them and look so scared and confused every day to be a mom so young.

Well, she got out again and got pregnant. I am so scared as they are due within the next 3 days....

She is now 1 year and 4 months, so I feel more confident in her mothering abilities this time around. I love her so much and she is so sweet and naive... she is clumsy too and not like your typical cat.
