Why You Should Get Your Cat Fixed

My cat Rascal was attacked just over a year old by two Tom cats and she was on a leash and became pregnant. My daughter, son and myself were so excited when we realized she was pregnant, she is a beautiful snow shoe.
I read books on cat pregnancy and watched videos on you tube of live births which I highly recommend. I soon realized all the things that could go wrong during labor.
I was prepared - had kitten bottles, formula, dental floss, her bed made for her, etc. I was pretty sure on due date. I saw kittens moving, she basically called to me to say: hay, I'm in labor, started labor and it never made it into pushing stage.
Went to vet, did ultrasound, gave pitocin to help with contractions and no kittens. I saw movement went back in and stayed at vets with more pitocin, then had cesarean but it was too late. One kitten was deformed and stuck in canal and the other one died because it couldn't get out.
I am writing this as my cat is still recovering from c section overnight at the vets and I hope she makes it. Things I wish I knew cats should not be breed until they are 2 years old. Any Brown discharge or lightly blood tinged is not a good sign.
I had my cat spayed and never want to experience this again. I feel so bad for her and miss her after one night not being home. Hopefully she gets to come home.
In conclusion our Rascal has no kittens, and hopefully she makes it through this along with a large vet bill. I am very happy I did research the pregnancy of a cat to know that she shouldn't go over a certain time frame or she would have died also from internal bleeding.
