Whoops!

by Aleah

One summer night, we had just returned home from a nice dinner. Our male cat, Kenny, was outside and refused to come in the house. We were confused as to why he didn't come in, and we found out that a malnourished stray blond cat was outside with him.

We took her in and named her Yumi. They were the best of friends forever, and later that fall, I noticed something was different about our little girl; she was gaining tons of weight and her nipples were larger.

My dad refused to belive she was pregnant. I had figured she was pregnant when we first saw her because we had no idea how long Kenny and Yumi had been hanging out.

Then, a week later, Yumi went missing. We found her in our garage, relaxing with five beautiful newborn kittens. My dad let us keep them until they were older, but then we put an ad in the paper for someone to adopt them.

Four out of the five were adopted, and we took the last kitten to the humane society. Now, our four cats are happy, healty, and fixed.
