female cat has had several litter already by: Mary
My daughters cat appears pregnant again but my daughter is wondering about a false pregnacy she should be 45 days or less pregnant and has had a bloody discharge for two days she is purring and wants to be around my daughter constantly she has had a lot of movement in the belly and since she rarely gets a lot of milk usually my daughter has to bottle feed the kittens because her cat lacks milk her nipples never get big or sag or leak she has been hiding and looking for a place to give birth is this a sign of miscarrage or false pregnacy?

Hi, following my posting about my cat having the strange empty sac she went on to have two healthy kittens 5 days later!!!! she appeared to pass that sac then just carried on as normal, she wasn't in labour at all. then five days later she started labour properly and had a boy and a girl. Amazing!!

Miscarriage by: Anonymous
My cat's pregnancy is now full-term (64 days today). Two nights ago I thought she was in labour but all the produced was a big empty sac with sort of blood bits blood in it. The sac was the same size as one you would expect a kitten to be in, not a 'plug'. Since then nothing has happened, she is absolutely fine, eating, drinking, purring as normal, and the kittens inside her are very active. Is there a chance she miscarried an undeveloped kitten as is now continuing the pregnancy with the healthy ones? I can't find any information on it. Any ideas?

Weird happening by: Anonymous
Since our one year old cat likes to roll and have her belly rubbed I noticed some large bumps when I rubbed her belly. It almost felt like kittens inside her. I could feel 3 such sized bumps. After about a week I noticed her having a sagging belly..............just like a very old mother cat who's belly had been repeatedly stretched, but you could see these bump-like things hanging in there also. Anyone have any idea what is going on here??

Miscarriage by: Anonymous
My cat had a miscarriage. She got pregnant very soon after her first litter of kittens. The kittens were actually fully developed except they had no fur. And were a little small. But we new she was pregnant and she was showing. But she went on to have one more litter after that one before getting spayed!

Question Re: Abnormalities by: Anonymous
My son and his wife adopted a stray female cat, soon realized she was in heat, and more than likely pregnant. Exhibited all the signs and symptoms, nipple changes, rounded belly, etc. Over the last couple of days, they have noticed a reddish discharge at times and what appears to be dilitation of the vaginal opening. No excessive meowing, still playful, eating, running around. I've tried to read all I can find about pregnancies, gestation period, and labor.... what could this be?
