Tinkerbell Nan to four gorgeous kittens

by Steph Darrington
(Hemel Hempstead, UK)

In October 2007 I told you about my cat Tinkerbell giving birth to six gorgeous kittens.

My brother and his girlfriend decided to adopt one of her kittens and they named her Lola. Well, 3 weeks ago I got a phone call saying Lola was in stage one of labour. I stayed up all nite with her and just as I was falling asleep at 3 o'clock in the morning, I noticed she was starting to have contractions!!!

An hour later she still hadn't produced a kitten even though we could just see the sac. But with the next contraction she managed to get half the kitten out and its then I realised that it was coming out legs first and it had got stuck!!!

Luckily, I managed to gently pull the kitten as she pushed and it was fine, the next one was born exactly in the same way and both needed help from me to breathe. The next two were both born normally but we noticed that they were born with 7 toes on the front feet and six on the back feet!!!

Happily Lola and the kittens (3 boys and a girl) are all doing really well and Lola is such a great mum to them!!!
