Tigerlily's Preggers!!!! :)

A few weeks ago we noticed our cat Tigerlily was getting big and started acting funny!! Her nipples had been pink for a while now and we instantly thought we knew what was happening!!

We put her in her room as we didn't know how far gone she was!! The next day (Mon 11th May 09) she went to the cat clinic where they told my mum and lil' sis that she would be expecting her kittens within the next couple of weeks!! They told us to get her a nest box sorted, so we did two infact!! She is completly attached to one so we threw the other out!!

It is now Tuesday, 26th May and we are pretty sure she's having her kitties soon!! We can feel them moving quite a lot and sometimes we can see her body moving as they do!! Her nipples are humungus and her tummy is ten times the size of her head (she's only a very small dollfaced persian!!).

She seems happy with her nest box and hasn't looked anywhere else to nest!! My mum is quite certain that the kittens have moved persition and thinks it is only a matter of days now, if that!!

The whole family (my mum, dad, 2 sisters, brother and myself) are very excited as this is our first litter and hers (she's 1 year old)!! We know it's not long and are prepared quite well!! At first we were worried about her size but the vet said if she has any problems at all there is a 24hr line we can call!!

We know Tigerlily is going to be a great mummy to her kittens and the other pets (3 more cats, dog, rabbit and fish) are sure to help out (not sure about the fish though!!) It's not long we have to wait!!

My dad's gone to France and Belgium for two nights on a business trip for work so she might have to hang on a couple of days!! Oh well, we can always send him pictures on texts or e-mails!!

I just hope she has them this week as we're on school holidays, but we're quite sure she will!! We've got a whole list of names ready for them including Gangsta and Brup!!
