Thumbs, Mittens, Baby

One day coming home very late from fireworks in August there was a little cat on our steps who was kinda skinny, so we fed it and gave it water and then we all went to bed and left her outside because we figured she was somebody's in the neighborhood and she would go home.

Well the next morning I heard a cat meowing in our backyard and come to find out. It was that cat under our deck, so we decided to let it in. We tried to find its owners but nobody had ever seen it. We later found out it was a girl =].

So we kept this cat and we had no idea what to call her. We couldn't all decide on a name, some called her thumbs some called her mittens, because she has thumbs on her two front paws =] soo cute!

Then one time everybody got home from work and school and I could see that she was getting bigger. I knew she was pregnant, I could tell. But my brother and my dad just said she was getting fat like Patches, our other cat who is quite fat..=].

So a month or so later I never saw her. I thought someone had let her outside, even though I told everyone to keep her inside. So after getting home late on a friday night, I walk in the door and my dad says "she's been here all week". I was like REALLY!? and it turns out she was in the way back corner of our dirtiest room under a whole bunch of stuff and she had already had her kittens..

I was soo happy!! Born on, I believe, February 28th, but my dad thinks it could have been the 29th. They are all healthy and are now opening their eyes and getting bigger each day! =]. They are soo adorable! We ended up getting 4 kittens and three of them look the same, black and whitish, which is not like the mother. Then one is whitish and has a little bit of brownish/orangish and black on its head..that one's my favorite =].
