The Queen Needs Me

New born kittens with their mommy

New born kittens with their mommy

About ten days ago I woke up to cat meowing and jumping over the bed where I slept with my wife. I knew she was expecting (the cat that is) but I thought she was just hungry, so I tried to ignore her and go back to sleep and that's when she gently bit my wrist to wake me up.

So I got up and followed her, thinking that she wants to eat, but she led me to the box that I set up for her to give birth in and that's when I realized that she's about to give birth.

I watched her go into the box and I went back to bed, but she followed me again! So I led her to the closet, where I set up another potential place for her to give birth in, she got in and I pet her for a bit. Then I left and went back to sleep, and that's when she woke me up for the third time!

I woke up and followed her as she went to the box (the first one) where I sat by her and pet her, that's when I realized that she wants me to be a part of her giving birth experience.

I sat by her for more than 3 hours, petting her as she purred and gave birth to 4 lovely kittens!
