The Pregnant Stray Cat
Well, when my parents and I where on vacation, a stray cat took up residence in our garage and started eat my other 5 cat's food. Whenever I saw her she rubbed against my legs and purred. So we adopted her and gave her tags.
My mom scheduled all her shots and her spay apointment immediately. But the people at the vet's office said that we couldn't get her spayed until after the next set of shots was administered in 3 weeks.
After 2 weeks we prepared to go to the beach. Oddly, the cat came upstairs in spite of the other cats. (She doesn't come up often). Now, as she lied there, in the living room, both my mom and I realized that her belly was pooching out. We both new it, the cat was pregnant.
Now, as most cat owners know, owning a cat is a chore. Taking care of 6 cats is a big chore. But taking care of 6 cats and 5+ kittens would be nigh impossible.
My mom had something to say to the vet that didn't tell us that our cat was pregnant. Now, her belly is enormous and she's being hateful to the other cats. We're going to have to catch her and put her in a room with many feline accomadations really soon.
With the thought of the beginning of the school year being at the estimated time of the arrival of kittens, I'm going to have my hands full. :)
