Tabitha`s Second Pregnancy

by Teri
(BC, Canada)

About 3-4 months ago, my 11 month (at the time) old female cat had her first litter and during that time, she was as lovey as heck with me. Five little miracles were brought into my life but sadly, only two of them made it. I named them Iori, Raku, Snicklefritz, Chub and Chibi (the last two were the ones who made it).

I decided to keep Chub and Chibi because I got really, really sad about those three being not ready for the world and I`ve already been clinically depressed about losing one of my cats three years ago.

Just until recent times, I realized that she was pregnant again and she`s acting way more differently then her first pregnancy - where she was all lovey, NOW, most of the time, she`s just freaking miffed!

I`ve read a couple different stories on here that the queen treats her other kittens more moodily so I guess I can stop worrying about that now...plus, she`s even swatted at me XD;

But it`s kind of odd though, because she`s really relaxed around our Tom, Lucifer (who`s probably the one who knocked her up this time :D Which I hope is the case because that`s the reason why I got Tabitha in the first place.

Lucifer likes to be outside. He`s basically my son so like any other good mother, I worry my head off about kids that don`t come home for days on end.

I didn`t want to get him neutered at the time cos I was worried it would really change him. I love him just the way he is even if he gave me imaginary grey hairs at my lowly 18 years of age... anyway, I thought he`d stay home more often if he had mate-material but I had no luck there - he thought of Tabitha as more of a daughter! Still, it didn`t stop him from trying to mount her at the end of May). Yes, I know I ramble, sorry.

The new babies are making me a bit nervous because I went and checked the Pregnancy Calender and THEY COULD BE DUE TODAY FOR ALL I KNOW. Seriously - Lucifer (if he`s the father or A father) was trying to...you know...sometime mid to end of May. So either today or sometime in the next 3-4 weeks.

Wish Tabitha luck for a safe delivery!
