In the process of searching for our indoor cat who was accidentally let out during the holiday commotion we turned to humane traps. The weather here was so cold early in Janruary that any food placed in the trap froze within two hours... for days we tried with no success. The weather became milder, and one night while I was in class, my son took out the trash and noticed a little cat in the trap. We had seen her before, neighbors had called to report seeing her, thinking it might be our missing cat. We knew she had been outside during those frigid days and nights. She is black and white, with a smudge on her nose and green eyes. We took her in, and took her to the vet. She is, he thinks, about a year or two old, thankfully she tested negitive for feline aids and leukemia. She had worms and fleas, and was very scared. I think she may be pregnant, the vet said that after a certain point it is hard to feel the babies, and her nipples are pink, but not enlarged. Her tummy is quite round. Her next appointment with the vet is the middle of February.... she is becoming less frightened... and purring her way into our hearts.
