Sweet Little Kittens

My family and I had just figured out my cat was going to have kittens. I had been suspecting it for a while but now we were sure. Any ways, I knew that cats were pregnant for three months and I decided that Sweetie Pie was probably going to have the kittens in a month. She had started to show signs in December and it was now January.

I kind of freaked out because my dad doesn't really like cats. I was also worried abut what would happen with Storm. Storm is my other cat, he is Sweetie Pie's brother. I was worried he would be a problem once the kittens came. And there was also my dog, Abby.

February 14, Valentines Day, Me, my Mom, and my sister were sitting in our living room playing a game of Uno Attack. Sweetie Pie came up to us and meowed really loudly. I figured she was hungry so I got up to fill up her food bowl. It was already full. "Maybe her kittens are coming?" My mom suggested slowly.

Sweetie Pie just kept rubbing herself against my legs and stuff and I walked back to my room to get on the computer to find out what I should do. Sweetie followed me and kept meowing. She then walked into the hall closet. I walked over to her and she just stared at me. I got up to go tell Mom but she then got up and followed me. I guessed that she wouldn't stay there without me.

So I just yelled for mom and cleared out the bottom of the hall closet. I put down some newspaper because from what I had read online that's what I was supposed to put down. At about 9:00 me and mom saw a kitten emerge, followed closely by another kitten. I named them Smokey and Aphrodite.

Aphrodite was female, Smokey was male. I tried to wake up my sister but she had fallen asleep. I started to get really tired say I layed my head down on the floor and closed my eyes. I woke up a while later. Mom had gone to bed and the hall light was off. I looked at Sweetie Pie and saw another kitten, a gorgeous golden kitten, suckling from Sweetie Pie. Most ginger cats are male so I named him Cupid for his birth date. He was later renamed Charlie.

Smokey later found a new home at my best friend Erin's house and Charlie and Aphrodite were adopted by a friend of my mom's. I still see Smokey and I get pictures of Charlie and Aphrodite.
