Stress Cat

by Carol
(Leamington, Spa)

My cat Cassi had her kittens. With a lot of trouble that she had with bleeding while she was pregnant she gave bith to 1 kitten. Then 12 hours later, even though I knew some more kittens were in her, nothin was happenin.

So I took her to the vet. Just as I walked in another kitten came out. The vet said no more kittens were in there, so I brought mom and kittens back home.

But when I was fussing over Cassi I could tell another kitten was in there. I kept thinking is this just me. The bleedin was still happening. The vet said this sometimes happens, but at the end of the day, you know your own cat, I knew something was wrong.

In the meantime, both kittens sadly died. So I took her back to the vet. Once she checked Cassi she said another kitten was in there. They had to do a scan straight away. I had to ring the vet up later that day. They took the dead kitten out and spayed her at the same time and she was on tablets for 5 days.

Once I took her back to be checked, the vet said if I had left her another day she would have died. The kitten that had died in her had infected the other kittens and that is why they died. And that was what the bleedin was.

So what I am saying is if your cat has any bleeding please take her to the vet, do not leave her. And if the vet says she is ok, take note of your cat.

Mine nearly died, you know your cat better than the vet.

Now Cassi is a heathy cat.
