She's having them already!
by Abby
(Edinburg T.X.)
I had just arrived at my aunt's house to check up on the cat we had rescued a couple of months ago which we found out later was pregnant.
I greeted my aunt's friend which later informed me that she was in the garage with the cat named Emma (the pregnant one). I was about to open the door when I heard her say to wait. That's when I heard "SHE'S HAVING THEM" my stomach flipped.
I couldn't wait until she gave me the thumbs up to go inside. Finally after a minute or so she called me. Emma decided to have her kittens in one of those rolly white carts with two shelves.
She's had already two kittens. They were like little replicas of her. Just then I saw her twitching and then she lifted her leg pushed and I saw the third kitten be born.
"But wait, she isn't licking it" my aunt said. Emma couldn't reach the kitten as she had had it in a part where there was no carpet, so the kitten fell between the carpet and side of the cart. This called for my midwifing skills.
I couldn't get the kitten, it was to slippery. Finally I got it, wiped it clean but it wasn't breathing. I rubbed it, finally it took a gasp of air and started screaming for its mother. The rest of the kittens came out perfectly fine and healthy. Emma had five healthy kittens on Febuary 2, 2009.
