Scoobie Doo

Any cat named Scoobie Doo would have to be weird, wouldn't she? But we wouldn't have it any other way. She's our Scoobers, and we love her.
She wasn't a virgin, but the only tom she'd been with was altered. He had died years before this amazing thing happened. Scoobie never had had a litter. We also have semi-feral cats in our garage (Scoobie's a house cat). One gal from the "outside pride" as we call them, had a litter of kittens she couldn't care for. She did the best she could. She lost two of the five, and was unable to produce any more milk.
We brought the remaining three kittens, Ebony, Ivory, and Topsie into the house. We fed them cat-safe milk, but as anyone who's fostered knows, there's more to it than milk. You have to keep them warm, clean, and even stimulate elimination. They even really need the psychological effect of kneading and suckling. That's where Scoobie saved the day!
It was love at first sniff! Nobody could look at Scoobie, kittens at her dry milk bar, and think anything other than "That's a queen with her kittens". All we had to do was give the actual nutrition, and Scoobie took care of the rest! We couldn't believe what we were seeing! A cat who NEVER had kittens was mothering! She's a great girl, and we're soooo proud of her!
