Scared To Death

by Mary
(Ca)

About a month ago I decided to go for a walk. As I was coming home I took a short cut through an ally and I saw a lady putting something in the trash. It was a box inside a plastic bag.

I thought nothing of it until I got closer and heard meowws coming from it. I didn't know what I was going to find but I opened up the garbage can and took out the bag (I know ewwwww). I opened it up and saw a cat.

She looked fine and I didn't want to just leave her there, so I took her home. I have two boys so I kept her away until I took her to the vet to see if she was ok. The next day I kept thinking the worst. Maybe feline leukimia or FIV or something.... No nothing like that, thank goodness, but she is pregnant.

I took her back to the vet yesterday and the vet said I'd have kittens in less than two weeks. I'm so scared, I don't know what to do, and I'm scared to death. I have grown to love her so much cause she's such a sweety. Well see in a few weeks I guess.

You did do he right thing, and there will be a place for you in Kitty Heaven. It just makes you wonder how sick in the head some people are. I always say, I hope an animal abuser comes back in their next life as an animal!! My baby Bindi is having her babies right now, she had one this afternoon and now 9 hours later I am getting nervous and wondering where the rest all are. Take care and God Bless you!!!!!

if you wouldent have seen the lady put the box in the trash you wouldent have rescued the kitty so to me you are a hero! way to go ! hope your kittys are ok! my kitty is pregnant and i expect to have kittys in a few weeks. The lady i got her from told me she was fixed so i let her outside and went missing for a few days and when she came back a few days later i had a feeling she was pregnant, now i know for sure she is getting fat and loves to be held! good luck and best wishes for your kittys~

Best of Luck!

Your cat will know what to do. If you have questions, call your vet. Your vet is the best person to ask anything. By the way, I hope you called the humane society on that lady that threw your cat in the garbage. I sure would have. That is animal cruelty and should not go unpunished. Best of luck! I am still waiting for signs to see if my Skittles is preggers yet. It's only been two weeks. We rather planned it for her. lol

Fear not

My cat is about to give birth as well. And my mom is very nervous about it like you are. I'm 18 and I have to say that I'm so excited! So I really just want to encourage you to be calm and take it one day at a time.
