She had 4 little kittens, and all are healthy! Two have gone to a great home, and two are still with us.

SCARED FOR RUBY
by: Anonymous

We are in the same boat. My daughter's cat got out during the first week of May while she was in heat which I still don't know how she got out of the utility room. She is just about a year old now. We quessed she is due any time now. We put her in the enclosed front porch to keep her from having the kittens in the basement ceiling. My daughter is getting so excited now that her cat is so close to having her kittens. I had a cat when I was younger that had her kittens in the middle of my bed while I was trying to sleep. Needless to say I didn't sleep in my bed that night. So how many kittens did Ruby have? Congratulations!!

Ruby

Ruby did excellent, I am going to have to put some pictures on CPR, to show off my little ones. My son was a big help with delivery but was upset that the kittens were mostly all black and white. He wanted different colors, but he still love all of them.

re scared

Cats just seem to know what to do. My cat cassie had 3 litters and i never knew when she was having them lol. Looking back and knowing the signs I can see she was following me around alot for a couple days each time and then when she had them it was always underneath me. The first and last time I had layed down for a nap and woke up to what i thought was kittens meowing and looked under my bed and there she was back in the corner with her 4 kittens cute as buttons. The second batch she had underneath my arm while was having a nap. She never made a peep or had a lick of trouble. She never rejected any of her kittens she even took in kittens other queens had rejected. She was the best. She got hit by a car 2 years ago. We have a pretty little grey striped cat now and she is expecting we figure around june 15th to 19th. I do worry about her because she is so petite. I am gonna to try to be more observant this time and maybe i will get to see the miracle.

Ruby and her first litter
by: Monica

Thanks for all the great feedback! I have no idea how far Ruby is with her pregnancy. I do know she is very huge and so are nipples. I have two other cats, that have free acess to the house also. What I did was put Ruby in the master bedroom, I put a litter box, fresh water and kitty food with a box and a cozy blanket inside. Do you think it is a good idea to seperate her from the rest of the cats? Or will this stress her out? I allow her access to the complete house once I get home. Tell me what you think!

I was scared too!!
by: Anonymous

Dont worry- I made a bed for my cat too and she decided where she felt like having them. I did it in a long short laundry basket- which turned out great. She had them in a bathroom- we put her and the first kitten into the basket. And put her into a safe spot!. The day she had them she was followed me everywhere and chatted up a storm! She licked her nipples and genitles non-stop! You will know! When she acts differently! We found out she was pregnant 2 days before she had them and the day she did I was telling everyone I though she would have them that day. Everyone thought I was nuts until the 1st one came out!
