Pregnant Again

My cat had kittens like 3 months ago and all the kittens had died for some unknown reason at just 5 weeks old. And I know it wasn't the mother who did it, cause she looked after them ok.

Now she is pregnant again and three times as big as before. Hope they all do ok this time around.

I am really worried about my friends cats, they are pregnant all the time, or so it seems. They look really poorly (skinny and weak) and i don't think it is good for them. It's not like when us humans have babies, we pile on the pounds and keep it on.I need to know if this is dangerous to the poor things. I think it is cruel to let them get pregnant all the time. Am i wrong ?
