Poor Alice - An Unexpected Pregnancy? Or A Fluke?
Our cat Alice is nick-named "poor Alice". My little sisters (let me count...4!) love her a little too much... and, to top it off, our dog, Lucy (a HUGE german shepherd puppy) HATES Alice. Hence the name.
Well, lately she has been outside at nights more often, and she's had bigger nipples (faintly pinkish, but I haven't looked very closely yet) and there's an 'ominous weight' (sorry, our famiily loves that word) on her belly. That is... she's looking ever-so-slightly FAT. Only a little bit, though.
Anyway, I've been researching like crazy, reading books, checking websites - you get the idea. And I want to know...IS SHE PREGNANT??? She is at least 10 months old, she is not spayed/neutered...could someone please tell me if she is pregnant?
I plan on weighing her regularly, making sure she has all the food she needs, etc. I don't know of any strays in my area, and this would be a wonderful experience for me, as I am hoping to become a breeder :) (after all, animals are the absolutely 'purr-fect' animals in the whole entire world...:) )
So, is she pregnant or not??? Is she just growing up??? Is she getting fat normally, and I'm just hallucinating???
