One Year Old Cat Pregnant

by Renee

Wow, a one-year old cat that got pregnant! You don't see it that often. Here's my story:

Last October 2006 Mitsy was VERY VERY round and we only noticed that a week and a half before she gave birth. Around that time we had just had just started our renovations and had gaps inbetween our Jarra floorboards.

Mitsy gave birth on October 15th to 3 cute kittens. We found out because we could hear them under our lounge room floor, and she was bleeding.
They climbed out of the hole when they were a month and a half old.

She had 2 boys and 1 girl. It is now September 2007 and Mitsy's GREY beautiful girl cat is now nesting and is within having kittens in a week.
She has been nesting in our roof. Now that will even be another couple months until we see her kittens because they won't be strong enough to jumped down.

We were going to cover the whole so she can have them in the house, but we read that if we cover the hole she will have them somewhere else and then kill them because that's not where she planned to have them.

We recently had Mitsy's womb taken out and there were kittens in there :(

She was very skinny and light and would only come home once every 3 days for a little bit of food, and there were absolutely no sign of her pregnancy!

Ill keep you informed with Fatty's kittens!!!

P.S. Mitsy is showing Fatty where she had her and her brothers and other options were to have them! She's going to be a great Grandmother!

1 yr old pregnant cat found dead
by: Anonymous

our 1 yr old pregnant cat who was due to deliver at anytime now seemed very comfortable and normal as we left her for the evening not knowing if she was going to give birth, upon awakening in the morning the kitten was were she was going to have her kittens but was found dead. Unfortunately I believe that she was too young to give birth but the full grown male forced himself on her and got her pregnant, there were no signs of any blood or anything that would seem as though she went into labor. Was she too young to give birth? she was pretty big considering that she was a kitten. What could have happened? why is she dead? I've had it with the full grown male, he has 2 females that he chases around relentlessly when he gets a wiff of the females, one was the kitten the other full grown. any answer would be appreciated, thanks Vin

Congrats!

Actually, you DO see pregnant one-year-old cats a lot. A lot of people on this site had cats that were pregnant under a year old. But that's beside the point. Congrats!!!
