Nearly Two Days Between Kittens Being Born!!

by Mandy
(Cornwall, UK)

My stepdaughter's cat just had her second kitten almost 2 days after giving birth to her first!!!

Her first kitten was born about midday on Tuesday 12th April and by 6pm had still not produced any more. We were worried so took her to the vet and had her scanned to confirm that there was indeed another kitten.

She was very calm and happy and not showing any signs of wanting to produce anymore, and was quite content with her first kitten.

Then finally some 40+ hours later early this morning (Thursday 14th April) her second kitten appeared. Both kittens are happy and suckling well, and the queen is purring and content.

So anyone out there fretting over their cat, if she's happy and content let her be and nature will indeed take its course.
