My Little Easter Bundle

by Jennifer
(Bedfordshire)

On Good Friday I went out to deliver easter eggs to the kids in the family and go to my mum’s for dinner. So before heading to my mum’s I popped back home to feed my pregnant cat and my dog because I knew we would miss their dinnertime at 7. The dog came running out for her dinner but there was no sign of the cat???

I looked for ages to find her and I had a horrible feeling she got out, as my cat loves to be outside, but we had to keep her in because she was so big and we knew she was going to have her kittens any day. We looked all over the house in cupboards and washing baskets. Finally 20 minutes later I found her down the side of the bed in the spare room under a load of boxes. Even though I made her a nice big box with a little door to have her kittens, she had made her own.

The sad thing is I missed the birth. I came home at 5:30 on Good Friday and she had had 4 kittens and they were all cleaned up and feeding well. I am so proud of her, she is such a good mum and if I could keep them all I would! But I have already found 3 of them good homes and I am going to keep the other.
