My Cat Might Be Pregnant

My cat is 10 months and I think she is pregnant. She was in heat and my kids left the door open and she got out. This is like the 5th time she has been in heat.

She did not come home until the next morning and when she did she was with a tom cat. She was acting alot different for the first day. She stayed up in my closet and would not come out.

It has only been almost a week but I am 95% sure she is going to have kittens. I have read alot of stories about a cat having kittens that die when they are less than a year old. I really love my cat. I do not want anything to happen to her or her kittens. Is it really true about this?
