My 8 Month-Old Kitten Got Pregnant By Her Brother!!

Our pregnant kitten Ruby

Last August we looked into having a kitten, we went to look at one and ended up coming home with two: a female and a male!

As the female cat, Ruby, was beginning to come into heat at about 4 months old and a couple of times sice, as we hadn't got niether cats spayed, Spock, the male cat, started to try to mate with Ruby.

Despite our best efforts to stop this happening, a few weeks after about her fourth heat, we started to notice her nipples had become pink and swollen.

We kept a close eye on her and researched all the signs and symptoms of a cat pregnancy, and we started to see alot of these in Ruby! We are just really worried about her being pregnant at such a young age!

However, we read stories on the internet about kittens Ruby's age and younger, who are okay through the process of the birth of their kittens.

We think she's due in 2-3 weeks, and are now awaiting a hopefully healthy litter of kittens, and hoping that mommy cat will be okay too!

I had a inbread cat, she was not mentally stable, there was something wrong with her mentally, she was also allways sick with diarrhea and all of her teeth fall of at age 2. She lived to 15 years old. she used to poop everywhere in the house. I changed the floors to laminate because of her, I loved her very much, it wasent her fault. I hope those kittens come out to have no problem.I adoptet Happy and Princess 7 months ago they were 2 months old. They just turned 9 month. I neuttered happy at age 4 month, did not wanted to take a chance. Princess is going to get fixed soon, they are strictly indoor kitties and my husband wants to wait for princess to have her fixed. He loves her and fells bad. After we had happy neuttered, my husband was very sad for him and thats why now he wants to wait for princess...

I hope they come out ok.I hpoe that the mom is ok too. oh and don't forget to tell the brother to get a girlfriend that is not his sister! Congrats!

How did she get on? Were the kittens ok? Theres a chance my 9 month old cat could be pregnant and im scared after reading she could be to young.

i also got a brother and sister kitten Tre and Peyton. Peyton got pregnant at 6 months. however while i was working at a pet store i got stories about kittens being born from a brother and sister that came out with one leg each and some that looked nomal but had internal issues. We took Peyton to the vet who said she was pregnant. Peyton then got fixed right away getting rid of the kittens and not causeing any harm to her as she was to yonge at the time.
