More Than We Bargained For!
Kittens at a little over four weeks taking a little nap together.
Well, I was out in the yard with my sisters and we saw this cat hanging around our yard. We got some food and fed her. She was surprisingly friendly! She was a sort of round around the stomach, but we just figured she had been eating the neighbor's cat food. We named her Vampira because she tends to just bite you.
We had had her for a few weeks and she had been getting bigger and more affectionate. She started sleeping in this box of old close in our shed and was always looking for attention.
Well I wake up one morning and she is sitting outside my window meowing like the world was ending!! I got up and went outside and she ran into the shed she likes to sleep in and was in her box.
An hour or two later we had four adorable kittens: two girls, two boys. One girl was a soft grey, the other brown with black stripes (she was the largest and most adventurous even at only a 2 days).
One of the boys is a lovely shade of orange with white nose, chest, tummy and socks, the other (mine!!), the runt of the litter, gray with black stripes with white chest, tummy and socks.
Sadly, the little grey girl, whose name was Tara, died. We kept all the others. The girl's name is Tater Tot, now the smallest, but still the most adventurous, Tubby the orange boy (he was called Tubby because as a little kitten he was very chubby), and the runt, now the biggest (in everyway), is named Teddy Bear.
They are very happy and love to play. They especially like to taunt the dogs just by sitting just out of reach (especially Tater Tot).
We still have the Momma cat, and they all have had their shots, vaccinations, and have been spayed or neutered. We love them all. I especially LOVE Teddy partly because he looks just like my old cat Whiskers who we had to give away. Thanks for letting me share my story!!!
