Moody Mama Cat 2: The Kittens Are Born

by Abigail
(Winnebago, MN)

It's me again with that sequel I promised! It finally happened! September 1st Ashpelt gave birth to 6 more little kitties! All orange! Their names are Punkin, Squeakers, Tiger, Lion, Mr.Claw and Hummer the 2nd.

We have a shed way down in our yard next to really tall grass, and that's where the kittens were born. At the end of the month my grandma will be taking the newborns and Ashpelt to live with her for the winter and then return Ashpelt to us.

She gets to keep the orange ones to help us out so we don't have to take care of 13 little kitties! We'll have lots of fun with our kitties here in Minnesota! Until the next batch of kittens!

Dear Anonymous,

I hear what you're saying, I really do, and it tears me apart when some of my cats disappear and never come back. Spaying and Neutering has been discussed, but all in all it's just too expensive for that many cats. If you ever find some inexpensive way, let me know, but until then I'm afraid that's not an option for me. I DO think it's unfair to them, but lately there haven't been anymore kittens. I love them enough, and they trust me, so I will let them live there lives the way nature intended.

i realize that those litlle kittens and ashpelt bring you much joy. Unfortunately though there are so many cats out there that don't have homes because of people who allow their cats to breed. I'm not telling you to adopt cats i'm just urging you to spay and neuter your cats
