'My Kittens Died, But I Still
Gave Them Names'

Cordal's story is a sad one. All of Minnie's kittens died shortly after birth.

Hi, my name is Cordal Romero and I am twelve years old.

My cat Minnie was pregnant from around the beginning of february till one day at the end of march .... one regular morning I woke up and got ready for school. After school I checked minnie. She was really happy to see me as usual. When I looked at her belly it was really big. Then I made sure she stayed in my room all day.

I went with my grandma and mom to Rapid City in South Dakota. We spent the whole day up there and when I got back I noticed my door to my room was open!!

I ran all over looking for my cat when I found her she was thin!!!!

So after that, I looked in my room for kittens and there was none except for the premature ones under my bed!!!!!!! There was two under my bed and one was looking for a nipple to get some milk. I took the dead one and washed it. I wrapped it up in cloth and put it in a box.

A few minutes later my mom told me to look other places because Minnie should have had more than two tiny ones because she was huge! So I looked under my brothers bed and I found two and one was still in its sack!! These ones were smaller than the other two!!

I still named them and also buried them with my brothers rabbit that died last year. Their names were Sam, Jordan, Manny and Lucky. I named him Lucky because he survived till the next day after sunday school.
