Like Mama said: 'Daughter, this is how it's done'
An American lady called Mary wrote this story: Several years ago, we lived in a neighboring town, out in the country. We lived in a very small cottage with 2 children, and 4 cats, 2 Male and 2 female. The 2 girls were mother and daughter. For some reason, they were very nice about having only one litter per year. One year they were both in the family way at the same time. The daughter had her litter first before mom did. It turned out this was her first litter, so when kitten #1 came along, mom jumped in the box and started cooing to her daughter and cleaning the kitten. She did the same for all the newborns. It was like she was explaining to her daughter, "this is how it's done." A week later Mom had her litter too. After that you'd look in the box and 2 different sized kittens would be nursing. I don't know if the kittens even knew which was their mother. Whenever one mother left to go outside the other would be babysitting, and vice versa. Between the 2, they had 10 kittens.
