Kittens at Thanksgiving

Four kittens: that's what Florence from the United States got from her stray cat at Thanksgiving Day. This is her story:

Late October a stray cat wondered in through my cat door. She was so skinny and so hungry so I fed her, and after she ate she retired to my room and jumped on my bed and there she stayed for the next 3 weeks. Only getting up to eat and use the litter box.

I felt in my heart she had been going through a hard time, it was like her heart was broken. She was very loveable to me, but so sad. I realized she had been mistreated, and I believe she had recently a litter. I think they took her babies away as soon as she gave birth. Only a mother could be that heartbroken.

A couple of weeks passed she started to get fat! She was pregnant. I couldn't let her go back out into this cruel world, so I kept her. Thanksgiving Day she went into labor. It took her 2 days to have 4 kittens. I kept the vet on the phone all through his Dinner!

Three of the kittens are healthy. One she delivered dead after 14 hours of labor. Now the last kitten, he got caught in the birth canel throughout the 14 hr ordeal half of his face is pushed in, he only has one eye. His little hind legs are crippled so he hops around, I've never seen such a big head.

But this little guy has a big heart. He plays with the other kittens, he just started eating off a saucer. I love this little guy.

Now my momma cat is a good mom. I think I was right she lost her last litter. She is so happy. I love my kittens, and God has blessed me with my 2 boys, momma, and the 4 kittens.
