Kitten In A Can

by Kim and Jessika
(Ohio)

Baby Lucky

Baby Lucky

Our "kitten in a can" Lucky was found with his brothers and sisters in a car at the junkyard. The car happened to be next in line to be crushed but luckily my friend knows someone who works there and they saved the cats.

I received a pic on my cell and iI couldn't turn him down. My friend brought him over the next night and I fell in love. He was only about 3 weeks old when we got him.

When the picture was taken he was only about 4 weeks old. The first night I only got about 3 hours of sleep because i wanted to make sure he didn't get into anything he could have got hurt by, and he decided to sleep on my head, chest and in my armpit ... lol

He was our 4th kitten and the other ones get along with him just fine. Although at first I took him everywhere with me, shopping at Wal-Mart, the gas station, walks around town and so on.

Just recently he got our 1 girl cat pregnant, oh how nice of him! lol Fortunately the vet said she can only feel 1 kitten inside the mom so we are only expecting one, any time now.

My dad already said we can keep one no matter what, so im really happy about that. This is the first pregnant cat so I'm a little nervous about the birth when it comes.

I'll add some more pictures of my other 3 cats and also some after she gives birth!

If all cats were spayed you'd never see pictures like this one NEW

To Anne: You know, some of us LIKE having cats around. Not all kittens born in this world automatically end up dying in animal shelters. Some of us DO take care of our cats AND their kittens. I for one have had hundreds of cats and been more than happy to also love and care for their kittens. People like you make it sound like all kittens born are automatically unwanted and unloved and will end up in an animal shelter before they're six weeks old. I'm here to tell you that that is not true. I love my cats AND their babies.

SPAY AND NUETER
by: Anne

I'm Glad your keeping the kitten but please get the dad kitty nuetered and the new baby kitty nuetered or spayed as soon as it is 6 weeks old so you don't just keep over populating the world.
