My cat had a kitten but it died strait away i dont even think it took one breath, she is still fat and meowing all the time but she is eating and drinking as normal? should i expect more kittens after 29hrs and 30mins.

My cat Onyx had a baby around 2-3 in the morning today and only had one baby right beside my moms bed we all woke up (me & my mom) and we found it with it's bilateral cord (can't spell) and we cut it off while Onyx(the mom) was hidding under MY bed away from it. . . it took awhile to her her out from under my bed. She cleaned the baby and is now breast feeding. Should i give food & water to the mom and stuff? Is there aything I can do to help?

Someone please tell me if it is normal to have one kitten then a few hour befor the next. Plus she seems to have stopped laboring. Will it start again if there is more and if not how will I know.

Our older cat Ivy had just one kitten on Thanksgiving Day in 2009. That kitten, Lilly, just had one kitten at 10:44pm tonight.(3-27-11) Were waiting to see if she's going to have another one, but I don't think so. Lilly is happily puring and cradling her baby boy in her paws. Maybe it runs in family :-)

my cat is about a year and a half and just recently had one kitten.. but sadly that kitten passed away 3 days ago and was barely 4 days old? this was her first litter. what could have caused the kitten to die? :(

my cat had one kitten in her last litter we had no idea she was pregnant because she didnt get big or show signs of pregnancy both mother and kitten are in perfect health and because she enjoyed being a mum so much we're letting her have another litter theres no problem with cats having 1 kitten as long as cat is healthy and not got other kittens stuck inside.

my not even one year old cat had one kitten. it has been 5 days and she wont stop meowing. i dont know if there is something wrong with her. she bleeds when she pees and her eyes look a little different. she eats and drinks normally like she did before, and she feeds her kitten. we are unsure if there is anything wrong with her.. any advice?

There's no reason to be concerned when your cat gives birth to only one kitten. When it's clear there no second kitten underway everything should be fine.
