My cat was about fifteen months old when my sister pointed out she was looking a bit fatter and that she could be pregnant. It took me about three weeks to convince myself she was actually pregnant by looking up the changes in her mood online.
One night she got really close to my boyfriend and I and kept kicking right as she started to fall asleep. I thought she was just going to poop on my bed or something but she started squatting and meowing really loud.
I ran and took her to the bathroom but when I flipped the switch on the bathroom and my room short circuited (just my luck). My boyfriend fixed it somehow and not five seconds after I set a towel down for her she started having #1.
I was scared for her and felt her pain. Just a couple minutes later she had her second kitten and for some reason wouldn't just lay with them. She kept wanting to follow me so I left them in the bathroom.
About twelve hours later she started doing the same thing by wanting to follow us. She started circling around a little spot and started meowing once again. She surprised everyone by having a third kitten half a day later!
It's been about ten days now that she's had them and they're barely starting to open their little eyes. Something that's scaring me is that I can hear her growling a lot while I'm sleeping. I'm not sure if she's growling at the babies or not. I hope she doesn't eat them.
