Grandma to 3 kittens..

by Ita
(Boston MA)

Aug 1, little Leo was born and 2 hours later his twin sisters were born ready... Spot and Dot. I know it's tacky but there were coming out so fast and my daughters wanted them named so quickly it's all I could think of!

Anyway my Emma (mommy cat) is a wonderful mama.
She had turned 1 on July 17th so she was young herself.

I have to say that this has been a wonderful experience. I was so upset she was pregnant but it turned out great. I was only expecting to keep one but I might keep them all!

I am nuts and trust me my husband thinks I am too!
I plan on getting them ALL fixed. That way we have no more kitties. Mind you I love these little ones but no more.

My kitties are now 9 days old and they pretty much sleep and eat. Emma stays close to the box so she can hear them if they need her but she is amazing.

they did get fleas however and I am now combing them every day for the fleas.(disgusting) using the old dawn and lice technique. No bathing. I just think they are too little. We are changing the sheets everyday too. I am waiting for them to get older before I really attack the fleas. I am going to use frontline.

Well, if you made it this far thanks for reading and allowing a first time granny to blog.

Ita.

Dawn?

I know it's been quite some time since you posted but maybe you still check.

What's the old Dawn and lice trick? Looking forward to your response.
Warmly
