From No Cats To Six - In
One Month And A Half

Jean sent this amazing story about a steadily growing family:

I had never been much of a cat person, but my family lives in a pretty small apartment, so I didn't feel right getting a dog.

My 4 year old had really been behaving fabulous, so I asked her what she thought about adopting a cat. She thought it would be fun, so we went to our local humane society. That’s when we met Annabelle.

She was the sweetest cat. She was great with my 18 month old daughter who cornered her quite a few times. We knew she would fit in great with the family. So we brought her home with us.

We had a great time with her. She was my first pet along with my children. We spoiled her crazy.

Well, after a few weeks we noticed that she had gotten really fat. And when I took her in for her spaying appointment they informed us that she was pregnant. Now she had never been near another cat since we had her, and had never been outside, so we she was pregnant when we adopted her.

I went back to the humane society who informed me that I should abort the kittens. I was disgusted and ended up in an argument with the girl working there.

Needless to say, we kept the kittens, and Annabelle ended up having 5 kitty’s. All healthy happy kittens.

So, we went from no pets to 6 cats in a matter of a month and a half. We loved all the kittens but knew we could only keep one. But we got really lucky and convinced our next door neighbors to adopt two of the kittens and my sister took the other two.

Everyone is very happy in their new homes and we just love our two cats Annabelle and Grayla. We went from not being cat people to being a cat family. We just love them and we are so glad they are in our lives.
