Five Lumps of Fur
by Ellie Schroeder
Our female cat, O'Malley, started hanging around a stray cat we called Oreo. Our male cat, Midnight, enjoyed Oreo's company. Soon we discovered that O'Malley was pregnant!
It was our first time we had cats, so we searched this website and found out that since our cat was under a year old, her and her kittens were more vulnerable to death!
On July 5th, 2008, my sister came running and screaming and said, "O'Malley had kittens!" We all ran under the deck, and there we saw O'Malley and five lumps of fur with little tails. We haven't named the kittens yet, but there's one gray one with black on its head that I want to name Elvis.
