Coco The Cat Update

I posted an entry a few months back expressing my concerns over my 9 month old cat, Coco, who was due to give birth. Since then good things have happened :)

My cat gave birth to 4 beautiful kittens on Wednesday the 9th of April and thankfully, she took to motherhood beautifully :)

She was a complete natural and destroyed all my fears of the kittens being rejected. She was by their side 24/7 and all were brought up well and healthily.

The kittens are now just over 2 months old, and as a large handful to take care of all of them, 2 have now gone to new homes and I'm just looking for one more home for another! We're keeping the little boy of the litter.

So my advice to anyone with the same fears over a young cat giving birth, try not to worry because things are never as bad as they seem. Just be by her side every step of the way, especially during the labour as this is when she'll need you most.
