Complete Cat Health Care Guide – A Wagonload Of Cat Care Tips

You can get cat care tips and advice from a friend, a veterinarian, a website ..... and from a book. The Complete Cat Health Care Guide is worth a recommendation. It's a great ebook – you can only buy it online – with 106 pages full of practical tips that make a lot of other resources redundant.

I don’t know the author. I don’t know where he or she comes from and I don’t know his profession. But two things I do know. He (or she of course) is a good writer. And the author is definitely an authority on cats.

The Complete Cat Health Care Guide is the proof. When I first heard about the book, I kept my distance. Most ‘complete guides’ that promise dozens of cat care tips are far from comprehensive. But when I started reading, I soon realized this book was different.

The book covers almost any cat related subject and gives you a staggering number of cat care tips and advice.

It starts by giving you ten reasons why cats make great pets. Study it, and next time you have a convincing answer when someone asks you: ‘Why not a dog?’

Ebook cover Complete Cat Health Care Guide
But if you don’t have a cat, which should you buy? A kitten or an adult? Male of female? Long or short haired? And where should you get one? From an animal shelter, shop, breeder or a newspaper ad?

This guide answers all your questions and gives a lot of valuable cat care tips and advice.

Which questions should you ask a breeder or owner? What will make your new cat feel secure in the new home? How should you introduce your cat to other pets?

It even discusses how to make every room kitty-proof. Do you see a health risk for your cat? Follow the cat care tips from this book!

Of course the author included some chapters about nutrition and cat food. He is a supporter of premium cat food that is sold in pet stores. It may be more expensive, but it has a denser concentration of nutrients, he explains.

Very handy are his tips how to make cat toys. I followed one of them and I can tell you now that my cat loves the toy I made from an old film canister!

The Complete Cat Health Care Guide also has chapters about cat furniture, toilet training and behavioral problems. The author discusses aggression, but also (often unpleasant) habits like jumping on tables and counters. Put double-sided tape on the counter, is one of the given tips. "Your cat will not like the feel of the stickiness on their paws and will climb down onto something that feels better."

Creative! Although I´m sure there will be someone in this world who will say the given advice is cruel ..... But that won´t be a cat, I suppose.

Another problem is urinating on the carpet or indoor toileting, as the book calls it. The author gives a variety or reasons why a cat stops using a litter box and tells you exactly what you can do.

Very useful is the advice how to get a decent sleep as a cat owner.

Some wake up regularly because their cat prefers to play and meow between 1 and 3 AM. Play with your cat before going to bed and give him a small meal. That will keep him quiet for a while, the author says.

Now, that are cat care tips!

The book will also give you some insight in cat psychology.

A cat that wants your attention when you are alone in a room and talking into the phone, is not jealous. It simply thinks you are speaking to him. After all, cats don’t know what phones are and why they are used.

You want other misconceptions that are cleared up in this book? Cats can see in the dark, cats have to sharpen their claws regularly, cats always pick the person who hates cats ..... I loved this chapter!

For a book that is called The Complete Cat Health Care Guide the number of pages on health are a bit low. But there are other great books on cat health alone, and if you follow all of the given cat care tips and advice, you will definitely get a healthy cat.

The book ends in a minor key with a chapter about euthanasia. We all wish our cat to stay with us forever, but when a cat suffers, putting him or her asleep is sometimes the only reasonable solution.

The author explains everything you should take into consideration when making this difficult decision.

"Euthanasia is the ultimate final gift you can give your suffering pet. I have had to have my cat put down, and as devastated as I was, it was the ultimate thing I could do as a loving owner", he states.

I believe him. This is a book for true cat lovers. It's one of the most comprehensive books on cats available, and it’s worth every penny.

The only subject I missed was cat pregnancy, but don’t worry: I know a great resource for that .....
