I chose to have my cat spayed, knowing she was pregnant. Afterwards, the vet said she was very close to delivering the kittens. My cat thought she had delivered and breast fed her previous litter much longer than usual. She used to be a very sweet, lovable cat but after the abortion, she bites, growls at everyone, basically acting as though she just got trapped in a field of catnip. We now refer to her as 'psycho.' I love her because of how she used to be, but I'm afraid if she continues to bite the hands that feed her, she may not be around much longer. Does anyone have any information regarding this situation?

my queen "Rile" by: pixie charm
I recently adopted a half-starved female cat.I decided to have her spayed with the financial aid of a local animal aid company. I discovered a couple of weeks before her schedualed surgery that she was pregnant. I was going to proceed with the spay but when I brought her in to my vet's office he told she is due any time. I decided to let her have her babies since they are full term. The local animal aid company and their team are angry with me for letting her deliver. They think it is a bad idea since there are so many homeless cats out there. Of course I will be looking for good homes for them. Being the mother of two children (And having such difficult pregnancies and deliveries) I would feel horrible taking the babies from her. Am I wrong to feel this way?

Yes, but more can go wrong when she's futher along. That's why vets usually charge more. If she is so far along that the kittens are viable (could live), then you will be charged an additional fee for the vet euthansizig the kittens.
