There is nothing wrong with him. He is a guy and therefore has no fear (or comprehension) of the pain that is involved in birth. Doesn't matter how much he loves his cat or how many times he sees it.
Birth is a pretty magical experience but the pain is definitely not something I'd enjoy seeing (having had three children of my own).
The only time I've ever witnessed a birth was when I was 8 and our dog had puppies. Back then her yelping was just confusing to me?...
