A Christmas That I Will Never Forget !!!!

by Anon

Day 1:

It was about 9 am, 25th of December 2009 when I opened my balcony door and allowed my 2 female cats to have their daily stroll on the balcony. I fed them, gave them their water and left them to be.

At about 4 pm later that day when I went to check on them I realised that the one that I call Malibu was gone!!! I went down into the street for about 2 hrs and found nothing. I was aware that she was in season but wasn't sure if she could climb down the tree that is next to the balcony and escape.

Later that night at about 8:30 pm I went out again to look for her under every car, hole etc.... I could see but yet again I had no luck. I returned home and went to bed at about midnight, during the night her sister (Heidi) cried non-stop until I let her sleep with me. It was the worst night of my life.

Day 2:

The following morning I awoke like usual, fed Heidi and researched on the internet about how to find cats etc.... I went out with my friends and actually saw a cat run in the road and I followed it thinking it was Malibu but was left upset when I realised that it wasn't her.

I spent the whole night researching and planning that if by day 3 she still wasn't home I would print posters and resume my search party.

Day 3:

I awoke like usual, fed Heidi and was convinced that Malibu was not coming home and I awaited the worst.... death!!! I went with my family for a drink and I searched in all the roads for her dead body and for the first time I was glad when I didn't find her.

Later that day at about 5pm I was on the balcony with Heidi when I heard a meow. I thought nothing of it until I heard it again, I ran downstairs into the street in my pijamas and was amazed when I found my baby girl in the park next to my house.

I immediately took her home where the whole family were happy and surprised that she had found her way back home. She was very hungry and thirsty and tired. I'm glad to say that she is now home and that my nightmare is over, I'm now waiting to take her to the vets to get ther checked and waiting to see if she is pregnant!!!!

I'll keep you posted and I'm very excited to see if she is indead pregnant!!! :)
