8 Months Old And 1 Week Late

I got 2 kittens a while ago as my mum's friends' 'friend' was giving them away and I'm a cat lover.

Months later.. she got pregnant by her Brother!! We didn't spay her brother because he was going to go into a breeding programe but then we decided we didn't want him to!

But I was so worried that the babies would be deformed: the poor cat is only 8 months and it was her brother. But weeks went by and the pregnacy seemed to be normal but we never knew.

I researched on the internet about birth and deformed kittens even though my mum knew what she was doing. Well we had been waiting and waiting and she was one week late.

Last night we went to sleep and my mum got woken up by the cat at 3:00 am screaming and pawing at her to tell her she was in labour. Then she woke me and my dad up to come and see. I stayed with my mum and the cat, her contractions were getting quicker and faster we knew it would be any time soon..

Then we've seen the sack but she had licked it and burst it, then the cat looked as if it was going up instead of down but then eventually it came out at 4:20 and the 2nd arrived at 5:00 and the 3rd at 5:15.

With the first 2 kittens she had screamed so loud, it was terrible but the 3rd came out quick and easy. She is a great mother for her age and she cleaned them up. She is doing real good and the kittens are fine (born 19.04.09).
